Borgo le Caselle was so much more than we expected. Set high in the mountains and hills with stunning views all around. On a clear day you can see the sea of nearby Sapri. Our hosts, Rolf and Bettina were welcoming and helpful and clearly very passionate about the area in which they live. Bettina surprised us one morning with still warm Ricotta cheese made by the farmer across the way together with a huge bag of zucchini flowers. We feasted on stuffed, fried zucchini flowers for lunch! She also arranged a diving trip for our teenage son in Palinuro which was one of the highlights of his holiday. The house is spacious and beautifully restored with every convenience. Although there is no pool on the property, there is a fantastic quarter olympic size pool in the nearby village of Tortorella. If you want to get away from it all, Borgo le Caselle is the perfect spot.
